IMG_9364 Tina Schiavello, PhD –  Chair / President

Tina joined GAIN as a committee member in 2008 and is the current Chairperson of GAIN. Tina completed her PhD in Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney in 2002 and worked on Rett Syndrome at the Telethon Institute for Child Health Research. Following this, Tina relocated to the UK for 2 years. Since returning to Perth, Tina worked for Biotechnology companies in Technical Sales and looked after the women’s health portfolio in diagnostics. Through this her passion for women’s health inspired Tina to undertake voluntary work in the womens health area and focus on gyanecological health issues including HPV and cervical cancer, sexually transmitted infections, infertility to name a few.

Outside of GAIN, Tina looks after her toddler and is now expecting her second baby but also enjoys reading autobiographies, exercising, cooking and travelling.


Melissa North Melissa North – Treasurer

Melissa North is our newly appointed Treasurer. Melissa, is the Director of Nationwidebas has been maintaining GAIN Incs. books over the past 12 months. Melissa has been working in the accounting industry since 2001 beginning in administration, moving on to bookkeeping and then on to accounting and taxation work. In April 2012, she ventured out on her own full time providing bookkeeping services but still maintaining her link with accounting work and clients through G J North & Associates.

Melissa has her Certificate IV in Accounting and is presently studying her Diploma & Advanced Diploma in Accounting with aims to securing her own Tax Agent Number later on in 2014.


Wendy Leeson – Secretary

Wendy is the Secretary of GAIN Inc. Wendy is a Clinical Nurse Theatre/ Clinical Nurse Consultant at King Edward Memorial Hospital and has a passion for women’s and children’s health. Outside of GAIN Inc. Wendy enjoys riding and keeping fit.


Tony Ramage Tony Ramage   – Committee Member

Tony Ramage formerly the treasurer for GAIN Inc.  Tony brings to the business his experience as the founder of 123 Home Loans Perth. Tony has extensive experience in the Financial Services Industry, commencing with his employment as an Accountant at Hall Chadwick Chartered Accountants in 1989, a Commercial Banker with Challenge Bank from 1992, a Stockbroker with Paterson Securities from 1996 before establishing 123 Home Loans in 2002.  Over the past 12 years he has consolidated his knowledge and experience to specialise in mortgage broking.


Tonia Poggioli – Committee member

Tonia joined GAIN after years of actively volunteering her help to GAIN at events. Tonia has two children and is a school teacher. Tonia is passionate about helping others and is looking forward to helping other women and families afflicted with gynaecological health issues.
